Cindy Ward first came to the Wood River Valley with her family in the early 1960s. Annual visits led to her relocation here in 1979 with her husband, Ken. After her first ten years in the Valley, Cindy decided to change careers from banking to real estate, making it her full time occupation. She and Ken have been local business owners for 25 years and have personal building, investment and subdivision development experience.
In addition to her extensive continuing education and many accreditations, Cindy is recognized in the selective AMRR, America's Most Referred Realtors, and was the first agent in the Sawtooth Board of Realtors to be inducted into the Idaho Association of Realtor's Honor Society.
Prior to Cindy's association with Sun Valley Real Estate, LLC, in May 2008, she founded and was the Broker/ Owner of Cornerstone Realty Group for twelve years. Prior to that she was an Associate Broker with Hanggi & Co. for seven years. Cindy is a past president of the Sawtooth Board of Realtors and was instrumental in helping establish many of the current policies and procedures.
Cindy's true business passion is helping others achieve the personal freedoms associated with owning their own home or investment properties. She is committed to giving her clients a "great real estate experience" and her track record as one of the Valley's highest volume producing agents over the past two decades attests to her clients' appreciation of her skill, commitment and kindness. Cindy operates her successful Real Estate practice with her full time, licensed assistant, Jenny Blomquist.
Apart from real estate, Cindy finds "balance" in spending time with her husband and four grown children (when they are in town) at their ranch, "Playfair" - where Ken and Cindy built the first LEED certified Green Home in Blaine County in 2007. The Wards are avid supporters of many local organizations, especially when they involve children. Cindy is a past PTO President and Ken is a Director of the Wood River Youth Football Program.
Cindy's personal and professional life are a testimony of one simple but steadfast life law: "Be to others kind and true, as you'd have others be to you."
